I am having troubles to make my shared CD-ROM play a music CD in my Aspire One (Windows XP). I can read data CDs but cannot play music CDs or DVDs. Can anyone help me please?

    Tks!

Just rip the CD off and put the mp3's(or whatever) on ur acer? as for the DVD's im not too sure it depends whether your pc is seeing the cd/dvd drive as a network folder or drive i suppose, i had a few problems aswell so just got a usb external dvd drive lol.

This blog post might be helpful. I usually just rip all my DVDs using Handbrake and they are perfect quality and available from any computer in the house via shared folders.
