New AA0751h User

Hello all,

I received a AA0751h for xmas last year from a distant relative for college. I already owned a powerful notebook and never used the AA0751h until last wee my notebook crapped out and was sold for parts to a tech buddy of mine. He gave me more for my crapped out notebook than the AA0751h costs, my relative sent the receipt and she paid $278 at Wal-Mart for it. I couldn't imagine that this machine would play my precious 3D MMORPG Guild Wars, well at first I was correct. I checked out the system and it has 2gb of ram, which I thought was nicer for a netbook, the hardrive is huge, has a 250gb hard drive, I am a little more impressed. So I turned down all the graphics on my game and it started to run better, then I junked all the extra stuff with Vista basic and turned off a few settings (defender and others). Started running much better, finally I got ahold an 8gb fast SD card and used that for ready boost to creat a 4090mb cache, this seemed to help the system dramatically. With a couple of tweeks, (turn off shaders, run in direct x8) guilds wars now runs at a happy 25fps. I am very impressed with this little machine which is now my main and only PC.

I intend to keep the OS Vista after reading a few peoples horror stories from switching, I have Vista basic running with low graphics settings and I really can't imagine that the system would be noticably faster with a different OS as this thing really moves. The only question I have is what cool games can this thing play?
