    Hi peeps,

I've had my Netbook since Christmas - it's a lovely little machine, but now and again the machine will freeze up on me, and I have to hold the power button down to get the system to restart (this has happened about three times now - once whilst watching BBC iPlayer, and twice when watching Youtube).

Firefox has also stopped responding a couple of times too, which usually results in me having to restart the machine (via the 'Quit' button) - oddly enough this usually seems to happen when I'm using Facebook.

When I have to hold the button to restart the machine, it seems to take about 2 to 3 minutes to get back to the desktop.

Is this something I should be worried about?

Is the odd 'freeze-up' and 'crash' pretty common when it comes to the Acer One?

    Thanks in advance.

I have had the same problem since last night.
Firefox stops responding and I can't get my mouse to execute.
I'm not using anything but Firefox at the time - no music or antivirus programs.

This is the second little hiccup my AAO has had and I'm starting to get frustrated seeing how I've only had it for two months.

Thanks to anyone who is willing to help. :)

I have narrowed it down to this being a Firefox problem because IE works just fine.
I reinstalled Firefox and still had the same problem.

    Any ideas?
I'm not a fan of IE.
I'm so used to Firefox that I don't wish to change browsers.

I gave up on Firefox and am now using Opera.
It seems much faster and I'm enjoying the "paste and go" command.

I'm using AOA150 with 120 GB HD, 1 GB Mem, So far I have been using it with FF3 so far so good without any crashing problems.
But Yesterday, I went back to Acer Point Store to complain since it's locked, can't boot and the power indicator "ON" and nothing in the screen. Got myself frustated... :-?
But the CS, revised the BIOS to V.3309 and now everything seems work fast and stable......again :)

Have you updated the BIOS ?

I don't know a lot about computers, so I'm not comfortable with all the steps involved in updating the BIOS.

I'm glad your computer is working now. :)
