Just had my Acer One replaced by Amazon.

New one seems much better.. but I don't any options for Wireless.

Under system -> System Info -> Networks nothing is shown against Wifi !!
I don't have the orange LED or anything.. any ideas ??

This is on Linpus.. I have run Live update via an ethernet connection and still nothing.

Also installed Ubuntu 8.10 as dual boot, updated and installed Sickboy's kernel.. Still no Wifi..

Any ideas ?? or is it dead !!

    Thanks

    Ok

I powered the One off.. waited a minute and restarted.
Wireless is now working in Linpus and Ubuntu.

    Strange..
I'll keep an eye on it over the next few day !!

Is it possible the wifi isn't activated. It may be as simple as sliding the wifi switch, near the light, to enable. I know with ubuntu the wireless light is inoperative.
