Well I called Acer this morning and after being on hold for 45 minutes I was given a reference # to send in the computer. I told them the problem, and all they said was I guess you will have to send it in. I was told 3 to 5 business days for repair. Hopefully that is true. One thing that really pushed my buttons though was that I had to pay to package and ship the computer to Acer. You would think that a computer that only worked for 1 day they would send me a prepayed shipping box, but no such luck. There was a good outcome though, I did talk them into sending two sets of the recovery CD's no charge. One set for each of the computers I bought for my kids. Hope they get here before I have a problem with the other one I bought. I will keep everyone posted on the results of the repairs.

Mine just started to do it today, at about the 28th day of ownership. I was getting scared... it would jsut shut off at some point. Sometimes I get a flash of BSOD but it would just quit at the ckdsk most of the time. It would report that the pagefile had errors and other files on different scans. Once, I got into windows then it just shut down. I was at the end of my rope. I read this posting and flashed the bios as described earlier and WHAM! it booted up right the first time!

This is my wifes netbook and she told me that today it did a windows update she thinks. I think something got F'd and the only way to fix it was clear the bios.

I almost went to Windows7 beta in the midst of all this, because she hates XP. At least for now I dont have to fight Best Buy to return a bricked book.

Thanks... hope yours turns out OK

I Also had the same problems, The last time I shut down the windows, It just displaying "Shutting down Window" and won't shut down at all so I had to use force power off.

After that, I can't boot at all and the screen went black and didn't show any activity just the "ON" Indicator. You know I got myself frustated :(
I went to ACER store and they revised the BIOS from V3114 and to V3309.
    WHAM...........................
now, My AOA 150 works faster and longer battery life. So My suggestion is to revise the BIOS with V3309 ( official ).
