If it runs without the acceleration why would I want to use the beta with it?

OK. My setup is Win7 aero on. gma 500 win7 driver 2019. Firefox 3.5 and flash 10.1 beta2 plugin. Flashblock addon. All HD vidoe on youtube are smooth. CPU usage is from 70~80%.

I found this video codec program that is working quite nicely for me. It sure helped with the HD video in WMP as well as the streaming flash video.

You might want to check it out: http://shark007.net/

He recommended that I set it up with:

That seems to be working well so far.

HD streaming from Netflix works perfectly so I'm pleased. Hopefully we'll get flash support as good as MS Silverlight.

You must turn on Aero theme. Otherwise only 1fps

Not working "well" for me either. I'm running Win7 with aero turned on. gma 500 win7 driver 2019. Firefox 3.5 and flash 10.1 beta2 plugin. Flashblock addon installed as well.

Youtube SD is fine. Youtube HD is fair windowed but quickly runs to a few frames per second after 30 seconds or so. Full screen is even worse. Netflix starts in SD fine then switches to HD as per my connection speed and then drops to 1 frame per second.

    :-(

New driver (8.14.10.2020) works great! I have a HW acceleration in flash (beta 1, didn't test beta2).

This clip works very well in full screen with the .2020.
I am using Flash Player 10,1,51,45. Lost track of which beta that is.
CPU is around 75% and pausing/resizing window or doing anything while the video is playing is very very laggy. It does not effect the playback though, which is perfect.
I also have other programs running in the background but that is less than 5% CPU.

Yes! The release notes say that the NEWEST release (now driver 2020 posted in Jan 2010) supports Flash 10.1 Hardware Acceleration!

UPDATE: The newest drivers work with Flash 10.1 Beta 1. They do not work with Beta 2 (which is what is currently posted on the Flash website). Also, you still get the same green-screen problem when playing 1080p Youtube under Beta 1. Beta 1 works fine with 720p (normal HD) youtube videos.

I don't suppose there is a way for me to get 10.1 beta 1? As I said I currently have beta 2 and have no hardware acceleration.

One thing to note, in the Intel Graphics Control Panel, there is an Options button, and it has a tick box for "performance mode". Mine is unticked by default

So, did you check it and what happened when you did?

I called myself downloading what I thought to be beta 1 and uninstall beta 2 and installed the new download but for some reason I still have beta 2. Sucks, guess no HW Acceleration for me until the next build or new driver. What I don't understand is why Intel would release a driver that would support an older build of flash beta when the new one was out prior to this driver release.

Mine is checked (i.e. turned on) by default. Strange.

Intel is unfortunately still playing catch-up it seems. It seems silly to put out a driver that doesn't work with the latest Flash beta and that still doesn't work with 1080p Youtube content. But I'll take what I can get for now...
