Frys is now accepting pre-orders for, apparently a new model, Aspire One SSD8GB plus 8GB-Sd, 1GB RAM and Windows XP Home. Many users have all along complained of the slow speed when they installed XP on the 8GB SSD Linpus model. Now this new model is appearing on the market. Does anyone know whether this 8GB-SSD is faster than the existing 8GB-SSD that comes with Linpus? If Acer is coming out with this 8GB-SSD installed with XP, could it possibly be a faster SSD chip? Anyone care to comment? Link to the Frys ad today (Dec. 16,2008):

Hmmm. Maybe Windows will run be installed on the faster SD instead of the slow SSD?
