    Hi,

I have just received my new 1gb ram 120 gb hd Acer Apire One.

Happy so far except I can't download youtube videos as the download is painfully slow to watch any clips.

Is this due to the Linux system - is there anything I can do to speed it up ?

    Advice appreciated.

    Cheers

Download speeds on my AAO are certainly fast enough to use YouTube; can you check what speed you are getting by tring a speedtest site? (They are far from perfect as measures of speed but will give you an idea).

Perhaps try the test on your AAO and on another wireless machine on the same network and see if there is a significant difference.

I actually think my One is faster than my Windows PC and laptop for youtube and the iPlayer.

This, of course, could be a load of rubbish but for me it certainly isn't slower at all. And since I use it downstairs it's further away from the router too.
