New xp Atheros Drivers v7.6.1.210

    I'm just itching for something to test, thanks. ;)

    Update: These are the best drivers I've tried!

    The Atheros Client Utility works better than Windows included client utility, it has options for Power Save Mode, disable wireless when LAN connected, transmit power (dB), QoS (Quality of Service), Frequency Channel and Roaming Strength.

    I've not seen a signal drop since installing the new drivers and utility!

    this driver slowed me down compared to the 170 version i have

    Has anyone tried these or the 1.221 driver on Vista or Win7? They don't work for me at all. Now, I would normally expect this. However, the Atheros policy/naming scheme makes it difficult to understand which driver is for which. 7.6.0.154, 7.6.0.264, 7.6.1.184, 7.6.1.194, 7.6.1.204, 7.6.1.221
    Some of them are for XP, some for Vista and some of the XP drivers, but not all, work on Win7. What a mess.
    Unfortunately, none of the drivers I tried so far work reliably when transferring larger amounts of data. They all freak out after about 50 MB or so. Otherwise than that they stay stable for hours, connect fine and surfing is fine. :-(
