Newbie here and need updated driver help.....

Hello! The site seems amazing for info on these little buggers. We just purchased this model recently. Acer Blue Aspire One AOA150-1777 Now I noticed when doing windows update. It has updated drivers for the wireless and wired adapters. Rule of thumb is to never dl from MS updated drivers like that and get them from the vendors official site. So, I have heard. I need some help on this though. I cannot locate the updated drivers. I went to Acers site and nothing is there. I am in the U.S.A. Actually I cannot find any drivers at all for this netbook on Acers site. Any help would be greatly appreciated! We also seem to have got a bonus with the machine. It lists as a 120gb hd. But it came with a 160gb hd.

Thank you. I actually found the drivers on the U.S. site. The way it is listed. Very easy to get over looked. A few questions. BIOS. Mine came with version 3305. I notice there is a 3309 version on the Acer site. Do you suggest upgrading and if so how? I dl it and unzipped the files. I was looking for a readme file and did not find instructions on how to flash for the new bios. There is a file in there that says FLASHIT. Do I double click that and run it? As for the LAN drivers for both the wired and wireless adapter on Acers U.S. site. Those versions match what is installed on the pc. How ever. Windows update insists there are new versions. Are you guys getting them from the actual vendors site?

 

Actually Windows Update is quite good these days for wireless and wired devices etc. You find most of the latest drivers come out on there first. Ones on the Acer websites are always out of date.
