newbie questions

    Hi all,

    I just got my AAO yesterday (1 gig, 120 hd, etc.) and I had a few questions:

    1. From reading other posts, there's no way to force the computer to stay at 1.6 ghz right?

    2. If I strip everything down to the minimum, what's the longest the 3 cell battery can last doing web surfing, email, maybe some open office applications?

    3. What's better: getting a 4-6 cell battery upgrade, or a 2nd 3 cell battery?

    4. Why is everybody using an SSD card? Is it necessary?

    5. Is it worth unlocking the bios? I mean, are there any functions in there that would substantially affect performance if they were adjusted?
