I am ruining the stock browser, every other page seems to work fine, but newsweek.com causes a crash every single time. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

    Thank you all very much.

Newsweek is fine for me, however, Firefox randomly crashes on me a lot. And the tabs don't get saved either, which is a pain, because I often have 60+ tabs out. :D I have no clue what's wrong.

Same thing for me as well. It must be an application or pop-up that makes it crash. Checking on another machine Windows Xp, I notice a lot of animation and video is displayed on the front page. Checking with Firefox 2 on another Linux version (Kubuntu) it runs ok.
Anybody with Firefox 3 running on the AA1 that can try newsweek.com?

I have downloaded and installed Opera for Linux (search in Google on Opera for Linux and select the fedora core 5 version). Installing it is easy but it will not show up on the menu. For the moment just run it from the right click menu and type "opera" . Newsweek.com runs fine. Later on you can get it into your main menu by tweaking the group-app.xml file.

Tip! It is a lot easier to find this file if in the File Manager you click on View and then tick the show hidden files. :)

Maybe, but Newsweek.com worked fine for me with Linpus/FF3 and right now it works fine with Ubuntu/FF3.

Crashes for me too. Stock linpus/firefox2. If you run firefox from the command line, you can see it's segfaulting.

Crashed for me, but I recompiled the entire mozilla package and libraries. Now it works well. Must have been missing a few library functions or something.

Just tested it out. Newsweek.com works fine here on my AA1 with Firefox 3.0.4 even with Java scripts enabled (I am a big fan of Noscript addon). However, firefox on the AA1 does crash a lot more than on my main machine. Time to do a self compilation to see if it works better.

Disabled javascript and Firefox no longer crashes at Newsweek. Thought I'd run into the Great Firewall of IHOP.
