    Hi,
I've installated Windows Vista Ultimate on my A150.
The power icon in the system tray states "No battery is detected"

I hope i'm making an fault by not reading the manual first but my common sense tells me it's an DOA.
When i shutdown my OS a red icon flashes with a battery icon. Does this mean it's loading?
Maybe it's to empty for an first run?

Can aybody help me with an english manual in PDF or CHM? I seem to have misplaced my copy.

    Thanks to the world!!

are you running on battery when you see this? or are you on AC power and the battery is installed?
    can you run on battery?
I've seen weird things happen when the ACPI driver is not functioning properly.

I'm running on AC power when i see the error.
When i unplug the powercord the laptop shutsdown.

How can i re-install the ACPI driver?

    Greetz,

regardless of whether the ACPI driver is installed, the laptop should not shut off if the battery is installed and is holding a charge. Sounds like you either have a faulty battery or a faulty charging module, or perhaps something else.
