No DVD/CD rom drive

    I have a Acer Aspire 3100, model# BL51, that I installed Win Tiny 7 on. It runs great execpt for the DVD/CD Rom drive. Even though I installed off of the DVD/CD rom drive, now it won't show the drive. I checked device manager and devices and printers in the control panel and it's just not there. Any ideas?

    You could have the wrong drivers installed for the chipset, check the Acer Support website for the latest drivers. If you've installed the latest drivers already, try uninstalling the drive controllers from device manager, reboot and let them automatically reinstall.

    Also check your BIOS (just for curiosity) to see if the controller has both channels open.
