No hard drive found

    Hi, i have an acer aspire one with Linux OS. It just recently crashed asking me to boot from recovery disk, but when I do it gives me another error saying it cannot complete the recovery because of no hard drive found. I have taken it to a repair computer shop and they said that it had to do with a bad board. Has anyone experienced the same problem I am and if you have, what did you do to repair? thanks.
