Ok, so I have a consistant problem as of late. Whenever I boot my computer, either from a full shutdown or from hibernation, it can't find the hard drive on the first try.

First try it looks, can't find it and goes to a glowing black screen.
Second try it looks, can't find it and shoots me to BIOS. I hit F10, enter and then it looks again.
Third try, it looks and boots like normal. Perfect consistancy.

I've never opened it up and don't recall installing anything or dropping it or anything else that might possibly affect it. Any idea what could be wrong or what I can do about it?

I am not near my AAO and wont be for a while but I think there is an option in the BIOS that says "hard disk time delay".
If you can find it, increase the number there and see if it makes a difference.

I will check what the option is called exactly once im back at home tonight.

    Hope this helps,
    N

I can't find that option. Where in the BIOS is it hidden? Do I have to upgrade for it?

Check that your hard drive is the first item listed in boot priority.
