    Hi everyone, first time here.

I've just bought a aspire d250 and installed Linux mint and yep I've lost my windows xp partition. I've created a new partition using gparted and formatted to NTFS. When i try the acer recovery it does not find a drive. How can i get around this.

I've still got my recovery partition and my anroid partition and linux mint works fine, but i do need a dual boot.

    Solutions or tips anyone?

Well, I kind of had the same problem. I installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my netbook, didn't like it at all, so I decided to revert back to XP, but no drive showed up. I installed Tiny7. After awhile, I tried going into the Tiny7 setup, and deleted all partition's, created a 100MB one, and extended it to 7400MB (7.20GB) partition, went through the recovery and the drive showed up. Installed XP no problem.
