    Hi,

I wonder someone can help me, i have strange issues on my AA1, which appeared suddenly.

After switching it on i get the message "The network is not connecting to internet right now. Do you want to create a new connection now?"
When going into the connection manager I can see the connection I am normally using, but when i select it and click "connect" nothing happens.

Scanning for available wifi network gives no results while my other PC is currently running on wi-fi half a meter away.

The volume icon in the right botton has a cross (x) mark on it and when i click on it it says " No volume control GStreamer plugins andor devices found"

When i click on " my documents" it does not open. The same is the case with " my music". " My pictures" open but it has no pictures in it that i had.
The rest works fine like media master etc.

    currently running linpus linux v1.0.21.e

    any guess?

You will need the CD that was included in the box when you purchased your AAO, a USB stick (I think 2GB min) and access to another computer.
Note that you will loose all your personal data on your AAO by doing the following, and you will start with a clean install.

    - plug the usb stick and insert the CD in the other computer
    - boot the computer from the CD (you'd have to press F2 or cancel or something else depending on your computer)
    - select QUICKLY "creating a USB recovery drive"
    - select the USB stick (all information on the stick will be erased)
    - this process can take a few minutes (10 min or more, depends on your PC) and will create a bootable stick
    - after finished, insert the USB stick on the AAO
    - boot the AAO and press F12
    - select the USB stick
    - let the install process go through (~20min or more)
    - don't forget to remove the USB stick before switching your AAO off

    see it in video:

    I hope this helps

Please be careful at that stage. Numerous people have reported accidentally choosing the wrong disk !!
