this is just for info really.
About 1 week ago the realtek sound device on my laptop 'disappeared'. (Asus zenbook dual screen) No sound, no sound device detected, headphone socket didn't work.
Still got sound through bluetooth and USB, but nothin direct. Windows 11 showed no internal sound devices
I went on forums, found it was a knwon problem and tried some of the solutions - all in vain.
Did not delete of load anything.
Still no sound when I started up today......
then I accepted the latest windows 11 updates (included driver updates), and restarted.
Magically I now have sound again.
