No sound in UBUNTU 8.10

    hI Friends, i have a aspire one d150 and i installed ubuntu. But now i am without sound.. I have a icon for sound but its no true... please help me. What sound driver i must install?

    Without more information it is difficult to tell, but sound playback is normally not a problem with Intrepid so I suspect it may just be one of the volume controls. Open Volume Control and under HDA Intel (ALSA Mixer) check that the slider for PCM is not at its lowest setting.

    For some reason this has happened to me spontaneously several times resulting in no sound (apart from a quiet crackle).
