no sound

    Using Xubuntu 9.04 on my Aspire I have sound when I play CDs but no sound on anything else.How do I fix this.

    go to Preference->sound-> select HDA Intel * (OSS) for what king of the sound would you like to hear.
    note that leave sound capture in HDA Intel * (ALSA) inorder to your microphone works.
