My Webcam has disappeared on my AOD250. Was working fine on MSN and Skype but now both say "no webcam installed". I ran a hardware diagnostic that sees the Chinony webcam but device manager doesn't show any Camera. I've re-installed the appropriate driver but still no luck. aAny suggestions?

Guys, just use the search function. This question has been raised so many times. Myself and another member held a bit of a discussion in the last major post on the subject.

It has been determined that the USB based webcam modules in the AAO netbooks (and possibly other machines) simply dies whenever it feels like it. The only hope being to reflash the firmware for the module, if you can find it. The only real ways to get it working again are either 1. Get it repaired or replaced under warranty, or 2. find a replacement webcam module and install it.
