    I followed the guide here
    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne
and until I reboot all was OK

No I have no wireless listed on the nm-applet and when I type ifconfig there is no wireless card. (only eth0 and lo)

I've gone through the guide here as well with the same result.
    http://madwifi.org/wiki/UserDocs/FirstTimeHowTo

Since then I've uninstalled madwifi and followed the initial guide again with the same results. I know a few people have had similar problems after installing sound.

    Does anyone have any suggestions???
