At my office we have a public and private side on our Wifi. I can connect to the public which has a broadcast SSID. I have added the provate (non broadcast SSID) to the list but it will not recognize it.
The wifi point is working, My Dell connects to it fine.

And I do have the CONNECT IF NOT BROADCASTING enabled.

Anything I can do to rectify this?

Don't quite get what you're saying but I found with mine I had to have the SSID broadcasting otherwise it simply wouldn't connect. So I did that and it's been fine for 5 months now.

Incidentally, this is no big deal as long as your router is locked down in all the other ways (password, WPA, MAC filtering).

So the SSID HAS to be broadcast to connect? Thats a little lame. Im not broadcasting the SSID for security reasons!

Then you won't get on the internet... your choice.

There is nothing insecure about broadcasting it in the first place as long as you do the other three things,,,

Mac Filtering is not a security measure as it is freely available in the packet header to be spoofed.

Our router doesn't broadcast the SSID and my AAO connects fine to the network (we also have WPA2 - which the AAO is happy with - and MAC filtering).

Sorry but you can connect with a non broadcasting WiFi node.

But you do have to enter the ssid correctly (case sensitive) and make sure youy have the security correctly set. One of the problems with non ssid broadcast is your will not search for the correctsecurity configuarton and you have to enter it on your PC correctly.
