First of all, sorry for my english.
I would like to discuss a fact about the already posted issues with flash playing, for example, full screened youtube videos.
I cannot play it smoothly in linux because of the distro im ussing (eeebuntu) wich apparently doesnt support some of the acceleration functions of this card. But ive read in some posts that flash videos in windows should work OK. It does work ok when im playing them non-fullscreened, but when i fullscreen it, its watchable but not smooth. I notice some "chops" while it plays.
Ok, here is my question. I have an asus eee 701, with the same ram (1gb), the same windows version, navigator, flash player, both last drivers, etc. the video card (also an intel gma) has only 64mb of memmory (vs the 200 of my AAO110) and with the celeron "overclocked" to 900mhz plays perfectly a fullscreen video on youtube, wich doesnt happen in my AAO. Tried with gma booster and nothing.
Also thought the difference was because of the resolutions (701 works at 800x600) but tried the AAO in that resolution with no luck.
What do you think? Is this possible to happen with almost half the hardware?
    Thanks a lot.

I've really tried hard to stay with Linpus on AAO, but gave up after about two months of daily troubleshooting. Unreliable suspend mode and messing up the system by installing updates caused too much trouble for my taste. Just put on XP and enjoy performance.

This flash problem has annoyed me since I bought by AA1 a year ago. I know that playing youtube and BBC iPlayer were not in the minds of the designers of the early netbooks, but I was certain that it should be possible.

I have tried many Linux distrobutions in search of the perfect alternative to a Microsoft based OS. So far, the beta version of Moblin is winning for me, it's fast, looks cool and does everything I want my netbook to do, but sadly it is still in the beta stage and riddled with bugs.

It was by chance that I have solved my problem with full screen playing of flash. My work colleague persuaded me to try installing Windows 7 :? and after a lengthy installation - I was amazed! Yes it takes over a minute to boot and I have got 1.5GB of RAM, but the battery life is good and best of all, flash video plays in full screen with near perfect quality.

Dual boot (with Moblin on a nano USB flash drive) and I have a pretty awesome netbook.
