    Hi,
All of a sudden my aspire one with XP started showing blank screen. I haven't used a lot of hard drive so I don't know if its the hard drive thats not working or the screen because after pressing the power button, I hear the hard drive noise but that it and no light, even when I press caps button that light is not lit (the green light on front). The screen is blanks and nothing is showing. Can you please help me out with this problem?

    Thanks

If you can hook the One up to an external monitor you can see if it's the body of the PC or the screen (be sure to toggle Fn+F5 to activate the external monitor.)

You are the MAN. I had an issue where my BIOS wasn't activating and after spending about 2 hours, your advice has saved me.

Thanks everyone for replying, the monitor solution doesn't work, so I'll try the BIOS b/c I can hear the fan but nothing's on screen.

DomDaBomb, Thanks a lot, I tried the solution you gave me and it worked just fine and now its on again and working like before. Will this happen again? Also why did this happen anyway?

    Thanks
