I am using Linus Lite and found I could not access my USB Hard Drive as it is NTFS.

    I have added ntfs-3g

    Steps:

    1. Press "alt+F2" keys and type "terminal" to open up a terminal mode

    2. Type "sudo yum install ntfs-3g" to install the software

Once installed I rebooted and have full access to the USB NTFS drive.

I use ext3 on my external drives because there are drivers for Windows.

It seems to me that my OneTouch4Mini Maxtor Disk is mounted like this:
    /dev/sdb1 on /media/OneTouch4 Mini type fuseblk (ro,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,blksize=4096)
and it sometimes turns off which is annoying.
Can I mend with udev to change this? (And where in case of yes)

Read this article to get an idea about what is happening ...

    http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/ ... ound-linux

With certain Seagate drives (IDE), there is a switch in hdparm to turn off suspend mode in Linux that suspend like that. BUT, I don't know where things are at with drives like yours? Maybe it's a SATA drive in that enclosure? Looks like the easiest solution is to attach it to a Windoze box and set the suspend option to off there. This suspend "feature" is programmed within the electronics of the drive, btw. It *might* be possible that sdparm can handle it now from Linux, but I have no idea. You'll have to google, if you don't have access to Windoze to turn off the suspend.

    Cheers.
