OFFICE 2007 keeps attempting to load

    Hi - NEWBIE here. Bought ASPIRE ONE with Win 7 for wife. :D :D Downloaded Open Office which is gr8 :D . But this PC from PC World has 60 day discount offer for MS Office 2007. I don't want to use it (yet) but when I receive an email with a .xls or .doc attachment it starts to set up MS Offce 2007 :? . Is there a simple solution to keep the 60 day offer open in case I decide to go for it, but currently to always invoke Open Office?

    You should do yourself a favor and uninstall it. You can always reinstall the free trial later, from Microsoft's website. If you are not using it, it's just wasted space on your hard drive. And from what you say, it is doing things you don't want it to do. I have nothing against Microsoft. But I am against most "trial" software that PC manufacturers preload on new computers. It's a scam.
