Has anyone purchased this http://store.acer-euro.com/acer/acer-uk ... eid=310429 which extends the netbook warranty to 2 years, and gives a "30% discount on the purchase of a spare battery for the registered computer when purchased directly from Acer Customer Service and by credit card"?

The 5200mAh battery retails at £75 ( http://store.acer-euro.com/acer/acer-uk ... eid=312369 ), so with the discount, you pay £52.50 + £28 = £80.50 for the warranty + battery. Im not sure whether the 30% discount applies if you purchase the warranty elsewhere though (which could potentially make the deal slightly cheaper).

I bought a brand new 6 cell battery for my acer aspireone (genuine Acer accessory part UM08B31 made by Sanyo 5200mAh 58Wh 11.1V - not after market) but the battery gauge (battery indicator) show “unknown remaining”. The battery charging led also blinks slowly instead of “solid light” when power is on and when the adapter is plugged-in (no such problem with my "old" 3 cell battery - also genuine Acer part UM08A71 but made by Simplo 2200mAh 45Wh 11.1V). I have tried (1) run eRecovery, (2) update battery driver, (3) un-install & then re-install with the original battery driver - but still show “unknown remaining”.

Only my “older” AspireOne AOA150-1890 (bought last year) has this problem with the 6 cell battery (no problem with the 3 cell), but my new AspireOne AOA150-1223 (just bought) has no such problem with the same 6 cell battery or the 3 cell. Is there anyone knows how I can fix the problem?
