One Mail (Linpus)

    Has anyone had any joy using the Email program that comes with the Aspire 110?
    I can not get this program to pop (or indeed imap) from gmail or pop btinternet (both accounts work with xp)
    I have just got my aa1 and have spent most of my time trying to get it to work. The aa1 software was corrupted when I got it so I have rebooted from a usb stick - accepted all the patches on the update sytem and thats about it. Everything else seems to work apart from the add / remove programs doesn't find the fedora server.

    Story so far
    Email wizard times out
    Manually set as per google gmail site (for thunderbird) for pop and imap (I have set these separately & together)
    send / receive - just times out

    I have also tried btinternet settings also tried with lan & wireless

    Has anyone any ideas :?

    How easy is it to download thunderbird? - has anyone got a link they can post (which version should I use & how do I remove One Mail)

    NB: I have set the pop / imap enable in gmail (google website)
