Hi, anyone tried to boot OpenBSD from grub?
    I've got this partition layout

    -- FAT32 20 GB [XP]
    -- FFS 8GB [OBSD]
    |-- label a /
    -- swap 1GB [OBSD]
-- ReiserFS 8GB [linux with grub files]
    -- swap 1GB [linux]
-- UNUSED 8GB [reserved for iATKOS]
    -- FAT32 ~60GB [generic shared storage]

The problem is that i can normally boot various linux kernels and xp from grub but i cannot load the openbsd second stage bootloader and therefor cannot load openbsd. Booting from the openbsd install usbkey I can start the obsd system from disk normally.
    Any hint?
    Thank you :)

With BSDs, in general, one can usually use in grub
    rootnoverify (sd or hdX,x)
    chainloader +1

Note the spacing, it's chainloader, space plus sign, no space, numeral one.
Untested on the Acer and untested on OBSD in years. Actually, I don't really dual boot anymore, save for a laptop which is only running Linux (Not the AA1), so that's all untested for a year or so.

Does OBSD work with the wireless card? I know that Theo won't use binary blobs and I don't know if they were able to get the driver for that one working.

The chainloader string is there but i'm not so sure about the spaces as of writing, will check tonite.
As for the obsd[snapshot] wifi support the ath0 driver is said to be working but i've not checked [the device is correctly detected during the install process]

If it's detected, then I suspect it will work. I know there was some work done with the ath0 stuff, but I don't know if it's OBSD specific or just Sam Leffler for FBSD and MadWifi. I also don't know if it's opensourced or a blob.

Please keep us updated. (At least keep me updated--if you're around on daemonforums, you can mention it there too, as I think some folks were interested.)

SOLVED! Turns out that I've made some errors the first time i've setted up the partitions: the Openbsd partition was defined as LOGICAL and not as PRIMARY so that explains why grub was unable to load it (I suppose)
I've formatted the entire drive and repartitioned it with 3 primary partitions (win / linux / openbsd) and 2 logical (linux swap / storage).
I've used a 4.4 snapshot and a mp kernel (single core kernel is reported to panic or not boot at all), wifi doesnt work (ar5424 not supported yes). As far as i can get network working (no net, no programs) I'll test out audio/webcam stuff
