    Hi,

Total newbie here, I have hunted through the forum board, and I apologise if I missed a thread regarding this but can not see an answer. I would like to install Opera on my new Acer Aspire One, model Number ZG5; I know that it is running Linpus Linus Lite V1.07.E.

Please could someone point me to the correct download as I can not see Linpus Linus on Opera’s site?

    Best Regards
    Barrie

You need the i386 Linux version. Opera does not care about distributions ;)
In general however you should pick the packages for Fedora Core 8.

Assuming you would like to have a pretty desktop icon as well, I recommend following this procedure:

Opera seems to use the same plugins as firefox though so i've like me you were open to get embedded divx then you're in for a let-down!

    Hi,

One last question, how can I make Opera my default browser, as at the present time I had to create a short cut in my documents and use that. It would be nice to use the desktop to access it.

    Regards
    Barrie

re-read the link to macles blog and you will find out how to add / change your desktop so you can start opera.
hint: the "sed" commands make the edits you need, reboot and opera will be on your desktop.
