Hi, first post = noob post...

Got my aspire one yesterday - superbe! But I'm new to Linux. It's all so complicated isn't it?

Now I know a couple of things - actually downloaded Skype and got it on my desktop!

The thing is, when I try this with Opera it isn't going the same. There is no Opera in my right click menu and no Opera-line in the XML file (?). (Why no function as create new shortcut etc..). The only way to open opera is when I type it in Excecute program (? Got a dutch version so I don't know what it's called in English). But how do I get it on my desktop???

    Thanks!

just copy paste any line in XML (e.g. skype) then change ...skype.desktop to ...opera.desktop.

and then add in the line in address /local/ before /share there e.g. /usr/share/applications > /usr/local/share/applications

    and there it is :)

I entered this line, I know opera is under '/usr/local/share/applications' I've got 4 things over there, one of them is Opera... But it still doesn't work for me..

    <app sequence="8">/usr/share/applications/edesktop/wikipedia.desktop</app>
    <app sequence="6">/usr/share/applications/edesktop/webmail.desktop</app>
    <app sequence="4">/usr/local/share/applications/edesktop/opera.desktop</app>

    Anyone... :?:
