I have checked this forum and asked around how to install Opera9.52.
But so far no clue yet. :x
I tried with rpm 9.52 but installation fails. :!:
All I could manage to install was Opera 9.27.

Is there any way to install 9.52 by using some commands like yum, etc.?

    Really appreciate it. :D

Which RPM are you trying to install? Is it from the repository or did you download the RPM from another site?
Also what's the error message you're getting when you try to install it?

Yes, I followed the advice(Fedora rpm) I found in this forum.
Error message I see is the same one with 9.27 installation.

    Thanks, :)

ps.akeyes, I got rpm from Opera download site.

    It says;
    "Unable to verify- 2:9.52 ..."
    Details shows;
    "NOT SIGNED"

    Any clue?

    Thanks,

ps. Package manager(Add/Remove) can not find any Opera browsers except the one I installed! :?:

    Re: Opera9.52 I can't install!

That's just because the package is signed and you haven't grabbed the opera public key to verify it. (It's just an added security feature)

Don't worry about this. On the popup window there should be two buttons, one is "Cancel", one says "Install Anyway", just click the latter one and it should work.

    Re: Opera9.52 I can't install!

As I wrote, I did hit "install anyway" but Opera9.52 does not start up!!

I checked /usr/lib/opera/9.52 folder, it shows
    "missingsys.so", type" shared library"

All I can install is 9.27 with my AA1!

    Re: Opera9.52 I can't install!

Yeah, there should be about 5 or 6 files in /var/lib/opera/9.52/
When you install 9.52 is 9.27 already installed? I'm wondering if there's some kind of conflict, the package manager should be clever enough to know to upgrade instead of doing a regular install, but i'm wondering if it's failing somewhere.
Could you, open up a terminal and type in
    Code:
    sudo grep opera /var/log/yum.log
Then copy and paste the output into here
Might be worth trying to remove 9.27 first then install 9.52 in the same way. Your opera settings should be saved into /home/user so you shouldn't lose them (Unless you've installed any plugins then you may have to back those up).

    Re: Opera9.52 I can't install! (SOLVED)

    Sorry, guys!
    I found the solution.
I installed 9.50, somehow the installation completed correctly!
Then downloaded 9.52 again, and installed it and updated. This worked.

So I suspect my first downloaded 9.52 rpm had some problems in itself. ;)

    Thanks everyone and Cheers, :p
