I'm wondering if the One is worth the $350 or so (is it?) so I'm just double checking. im planning to going to install with the MSIwindosx.iso installer, and wondering if I have to do anything different than this post: http://www.modaco.com/content/asus-eee- ... vent-4211/ or should I change something?

EDIT: ive heard over at the windows section of the forum, you can play Half Life 1 perfectly on the One. so my question is can you use a program like Crossover to load up half life 1 on mac with no lag?

i doubt you will the results your looking for with half life on crossover with this machine. crossover with hit your resources and the you will be throwing the game on top of that.

why not dual boot XP and OSX?

I tried it and could not get the SpeedStep feature to work, which seemed to drain my battery real fast. You'd probably be better off installing the iATKOS release (refer to my topic in this forum).

Check out my topic about installing iATKOS, it's explained there.

And the One is definitely worth its price.

Not at all. It could be described, on the contrary, as "automatic underclocking": the Atom processor can switch to lower frequencies (1600->1333->1066->800 MHz) when not actively used. Which improves battery life. But your release of Mac OS X needs to be aware of the feature in order to enable it. So far, I've only been able to make it work with the iATKOS release.
