package manager blocks

    Hi, I'm enjoying my brand new AA1 but I have a problem..
    I was installing some new software (eclipse) and during the installation, the battery went down. I restarted the computer and now, when I startup package manager, the screen just blocks in the "retrieving softwar information" part (so in the beginnig, befor I can do anything)

    Is there someone who can help me solve this problem?

    Ha! I knew I wouldn't be the only one to manage to do this to my system. I posted the way I fixed the problem in the how-to section:
