Does anyone know how to install a package manager on Linpus Lite? I've never had to do this with any other distro I've used so I have no clue. Thanks in advance.

It comes pre-installed and it's called Pirut. If you look around these forums you'll see how to activate the right click menu, that will call up Pirut or any of the other software you have installed.

    Cheers.

    Code:
    sudo yum install yum

Why? Yum comes pre-installed on the Acer. Pirut is just a graphical frontend to yum. If yum wasn't there in the first place, you could yum away forever and not get yum installed. :)

    Cheers.

I suppose I shouldn't  at any of these posters, but I couldn't help myself. I could have said something like
    Code:
    rpm -Uvh [url]http://koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/rpm/4.6.0/0.rc2.9/i386/rpm-4.6.0-0.rc2.9.i386.rpm[/url]
but that might have actually broken something
