package manager not functioning

    Okay, we've managed to screw up the package manager and other things.

    I think one of the fixes is to edit the repository manager as mentioned above, but I can't find this anywhere. Do you have to have a functioning package manager (add/remove software) to get at this. We don't have this and we're willing to try most things as otherwise a reinstall is the only other option.

    The system is usable for all the softwat already added - just not for adding anymore.

    Anyone help (ours doesn't fail for a metadata fedora error, but a metadata update error)
