pain in the.....

    Hi there.

    New to this,but a friend has a Acer aspire 5715z/5315 series.

    she's havin a problem loggin into hr computer,at the password stage.

    when she enters password a message appears The usser profile service service failed to logon,and User profile cannot be located.....its a new computer,so she is worried.

    if anyone could help i would appreciate it.

    If the problem is at the BIOS password then there is a chance that the computer your friend bought was stolen. Of course it could be that caps was on when the password was created unknown to the creator of the password. Or it could be that the caps lock was on when it was not supposed to be or visa versa. If the password problem is when the BIOS has finished and the OS is starting to boot then deleting the OS and reinstalling it would fix the problem. To save your data you could boot from a Linux live CD and then copy the data from your hard drive to another hard drive.
