Hello, I currently have Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 installed on my Acer Aspire One D250 in a dual boot configuration with Windows XP. What would be the most practical way of uninstalling the Linux partition and the GRUB loader?

Would the Linux partition be effectively uninstalled if the netbook were restored to it's factory default settings using Acer eRecovery Management or the hidden recovery partition?

Is it possible to use the Windows Product Key that came with the netbook along with an OEM copy of Windows XP to do a complete re-install of Windows, and therefore remove Linux?

Yes to your final point. Part of the OEM install will be a repartitioning of the hard drive. This will nuke the linux installation.
