I a'm getting a 32G Super Talent SSD and will still run Linux. With my 8G original drive, for safty, I could always carry an 8G usb with a complete backup on my trips. I am using the backup program suggested by Macles, which is very simple to use. But, now since 32G usbs are too expensive, would it make sense to partion the 32G into one 8G with all programs etc, and another 24G for the rest?
And, how to do it in AAO original linux? :?:

I don't see the sense of having your backup on the same drive. Also, the Macles backup solution doesn't have to go on a flash drive. I have used it on an external hard drive and it works the same.

As for partitioning, install gparted on a flash drive and boot from that. I have had the best success using gparted to partition drives.
