Passwords for Linux Acer Aspire

    I have set my User and Supervisor passwords in BIOS but when using the machine eg to change password or to change from user to root @localhost, the passwords are not recognised either in upper or lower case. Has anyone got any ideas, please.

    Thanks for that. This sets yet another password but still doesn't solve the problem of User password.
