I cannot tolerate the license restrictions contract Adobe wishes me to agree to. I yum''d Evince which works fine for downloaded files but I wish to remove Adobe reader from my A1 completely and retain my flash capabilities. Looked at Mediawrap already installed in FF so that losing flash probably isn't an issue.

I looked around at the FF extensions for .pdf viewing and wasn't sure which one to install. I'm not fond of installing extensions for FF since [they] tend to hog system resources IME...

I'd rather just have the choice for evince open any .pdf files I want to look at while web-browsing.

    Ideas guys? Thanx.

On my desktop system (don't have the AA1 up and running at the moment) downloading a pdf document brings up a dialog box as shown below. The default Document Viewer on my system is evince.[attachment=0:18vmvi1y]pdf.png[/attachment:18vmvi1y]

yep and in the dialog box you can type evinci and mark "allways use this app" and it should work. It does here. ;)
