Just curious if anyone who owns a One also has one of those mini BT dongles that are now out.

I want to find one that fits perfectly flush and doesn't have it sticking out (like some show the usb metal plug)

Would be great if those who have can post a picture! :D

If it's perfectly flush, how are you gonna remove it?

Lol don't think I made it that clear.

What I mean is that I've read some reviews of the mini dongles from people who've bought it and they say that it shows some of the metal clip of the usb plug.

So using this image as an example

By flush, I mean there sould be no gap between the One and the black end of the dongle.

I have one of those mini dongles that I use for my bluetooth mouse, its a cirago http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833242001. I like it a lot, except that making it work took a little effort. I followed this guide http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=789&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=bluetooth up to step 7.

It does not sit flush to the side of the A1 but it does not show any metal. Its not long enough to break and the rounded corners keep it from snagging anything. I doubt that there is a mini bluetooth dongle that sits perfectly flush.

Looks like if I end up getting hold of one, might have to mod it myself to get it flush.

I don't think that is possible. You can install it internally, but you'll void your warranty.

Here you go. (Yes, they do stick out.)
Top view, on the right side. CIMG0245.JPG[/attachment:1dr7ilki]
From the bottom.CIMG0246.JPG[/attachment:1dr7ilki]
Just the rounded one, on the left side where I keep it. CIMG0252.JPG[/attachment:1dr7ilki](Also notice my 16G "Eee PC" SDHC card from NewEgg.)

Ahh that's such a shame.

I thought they were going to at least make them sit flush with the laptops. Looks like I'll have to mod one when I get hold of one. Maybe make my own housing out of something. :!:
