Pingus

I got this game thru the Pirut thing, and it's awesome! Supposedly based on the game called Lemmings (which I have never played, but have heard of).

Only thing I wish is that there were more levels than tutorial island available. I found a link on Wikipedia that indicated there are more levels, but I can't seem to get it to work, being a complete newbie to linux.

At the bottom there's a link (citation #4) that has downloads for tar files that are supposed to give access to 105 more levels and 54 other levels.

Could anybody explain to me, in step-by-step form, how I can get these working?

 

http://pingus.seul.org/faq.html#faqid2716208 is a FAQ item on the pingus site which tells you more about levels.

I haven't installed pingus on the One yet (I enjoy it on my main machine) so haven't checked what is installed with the AAO package; there may be more levels in there than appear on the main interface. You can get into any more files which are installed by using the 'Editor' button on the front page, but not much seems to work in the way that the basic level pack does.

It might be worth emailing the developers.....
