    I have a Acer AspireOne - Intel Atom N270 @ 1.6GHz with 1GB of RAM (D250-1905)

I am trying to play 720p .mkv files... to no avail

I guess what codec should I try? and how do I ensure that it's being processed by this codec?

then I guess a good playback player might help? what player should I use? any particular settings in it?

then I guess any other particular things I could do? like changing priority to Highest or Realtime? Closing all possible background apps... but what else?

I'm sure we can get it to work, long time ago I have heard it to work on this notebook...

    Thank you...
