Please help My Comp wont boot

Probably from downloading some nasty limewire files, I know I should have known better. Is there anyway I can do a system restore to a date before I downloaded files or is there a better solution. All it says when I turn my comp. on is A disk read error occured please hit ctrl alt del which I do but the it just tries to reboot but just then gives me the same message. Please help, I am now living on an island with little tech support. Thanks for any and all help.
