Sorry, I am not sure if this is the right forum, but my NB just turned off and I cannot get it to turn back on. Battery should be charged as it is plugged into a working outlet. Is there a way to test my power cord to see if there is power going to the NB? Is this a common problem?

I'm having a very similar issue. I plugged in my AAO and I can't get it to charge at all. I bought it earlier this spring, and I mostly run it from the cord, but now the battery charge light isn't on, and the screen is dim like it's running solely on battery power. Any ideas?

Me too !!! But only with a 3rd party charger. The power lead, although it fits, doesn't always electrically connect so it needs a wiggle. If I move the netbook I can stop the mains charging it. And yes, the power adapter is the correct shape/size, it's just the tolerance is slightly off.
Might be the same as your problem.
