I bet it did crack with a jigsaw.
High Speed Dremel Cuts through it easy too, w/o cracking, but u need water with it, else you will melt it if you aren't carefull.
If you do cut with dremel i'd cut it fast roughly and then trim it down once done, that way no water is needed.

Or ask HomeDepot they should cut stuff for free to size =D i used to do that all the time untill i got my dremel =D

But nice =D Keep on modding

Looks pretty nice. Too bad you didn't have those heating thingies. Lol. I'm not good with "real modding". I took an electronics class in grade 9; we had the heating thing.

From what I can see, it may be too big, unless you're planning to use an external mouse. The AAO, to me, would be half that size. But, again, I dunno the measurements.

Good idea. On the left side, you might wanna make a couple of holes? The fan on the left of the AAO kinda heats the bottom a little too. You don't want it melting your stand, lol. (Of course, that would never happen. :p )

Haha, it actually came out to be the exact right size. It works pretty good, keeping the AAO at a comfy angle :) I just wished I owned a strip heater lol

It Only Took Me 5 Mins To Draw It Up And Get It Cut I Think I Made The Size
    10" Wide
    13" Hight
The Extra 3 Is For Bending It So It Should Look Like Yours But Only Be One Sheet, I Dont Know What
Im Using I Think It My Be Thermoplastic Or Polycarbonate Dunno?
We Have Shit Loads Of Tools At School Its Amense
Havent Got Round To Bending It Yet But When I Do It Should Look Hot
Ill Make A Topic And Post Some Pics
    Im Only 13 :D :D :D

God Damn, it looks aweful, almost painful to look at.

You can bend the plexiglass or poly carbonate with a propane torch if you want (do not over burn it) or it'll melt.
Put the plexiglass on the edge of a table then burn the "bending" point with the flame until it softens. Usually the gravity will bend the plexiglass for you. You can use block of wood (2x4) to help you bend it into shape.

Where's what it's suppose to look like

I'll most more pictures when i have time. The plexiglass laptop cooler i'm using right now has 2x 60mm low profile 9 blades fan rated at 5v 100mah. It powers off aao's usb port.

No, i'm not interested in making one and selling it.

But i can tell you the parts that you need.
    - A dremel
    - a piece of polycarbonate/plexiglass (~1/2cm thick)
    - 2 low profile 5v DC fans similar to this
    http://www.directron.com/ec6010m05ca.html
    - small on/off switch
    -solder and soldering gun
    -an usb extension cable (~25cm)
-a box to hide the wires
    -some screws
    -propane torch
    -clean workspace
    -water
-sand paper 80grit for rough cut 150 for medium cut and 300 for polish cut,
-some tooth paste to get tiny scratches out
-2 soft gel/plastic feet to keep the stand from moving
The total cost for me is about $20.

It's not exactly cheap, but looks a hell lot better than the picture on the 1st post.
