possible screen damage question

    *sigh*

    someone managed to get some gunk on my Acer's screen (WHY do people feel the need to touch the screen when they use it!?) in the corner and I had to do A LOT of cleaning to get it off :evil: I used LCD screen wipes followed by very vigorous use of a lint-free cloth...

    Do the Acer screens have any sort of coating this might affect? I know some LCDs have anti-glare etc...I am worried I might have damaged it as it was a pretty epic task getting the gunk off...
